How do you store your bare blocks

Give me the low down. What works best for you. I have a few bare blocks that I'm looking to store in the garage (Chicago style weather). I may not use them for another few years or so. So let me know what you guys have done to store your blocks so they dont rust to death or create core shifting.

Wd40 ?
Aerosol Lithium Grease ?
Plastic bag ?
No Plasitc bag ?
store on concrete ?
store on wood ?
sit on end (front or back) ?
Mains torqued ? etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,

Give me the low down.

I store my block for the future in a 4 mil plastic bag with old newspaper packed in all cylinder bores and around the block itself,I also brush them down with a good coat of diesel fuel :!: :!:

Did the bag with thick grease slathered on all machined surfaces. Main caps on but only torqued to 1/3-1/2 recommended torque.Block on 2X4's standing up-right (front toward ceiling;Mn. winters.)
