NICE ORIGINAL TRUCK

MUST SEE

On 11-10-1969 Mr. Hughes purchased this truck new from JOHN ELLIS CHEVROLET in Memphis, TN. This was the first truck he ever bought and he was right out of the Navy. Mr. Hughes kept and maintained this neat truck until 10-23-1986 when he sold it to Mr. McCoy. Mr. McCoy lived in Oxford, Ms. and owned the truck until 12-02-2005. The truck since then has had 1 other owner. All of this is stated in a binder that has been kept on the truck over the years. It has the original title copy, original bill of sale even the dealers SOLD tag and salesmans business card plus ALOT more. The stock number of the truck new was 4209 and it is still written under the hood along with the factory markings.

The truck is a factory 307 V8 and 3spd on the column. Radio delete and heater. Short wheel base and a big back window!!! All the right stuff!!! The paint is original and if you don't like the lettering it can be easily removed and I think the paint would buff to a shine. The seat has been recovered at some point and is in good shape! The bed of the truck is in great condition and not beat up at all, including the tailgate. It is obvious this truck has been loved over the years. I have a brand new steering wheel that is included with the sale to replace the craked original. All glass is good except windshield has some clouding along the bottom and about 3 chips but no crackes. The truck runs and drives great. It starts right up everytime. It will need an exhaust donut. Tires are newer. Brakes are good!

The truck is solid but does have some small areas that have rust. Both outer rockers ($24 each) have rust, 2 small areas above the windshield, and the battery tray. No rust in the bed or tailgate. The floors are solid. There is also a small dent around the left rear taillight that looks like it was in the process of being fixed. Two small areas on one of the body braces have some rust. All of these areas are not bad, not major, and easy to fix if you wanted to restore the truck. I was not concerned with them because I like it just the way it is....Natural Patina!!!
