Question:
I am interested in your car. can you send more information about the frame and how much interior there are missing
Answer:
The 1930 Ford has two bucket seats, no door panels, no head liner, no carpet. It has a TCI Frame...an after market frame, made by a company in California. Four bar front and rear, coil over shocks and springs on rear, dropped axle with cross spring front. Our phone number is in our ad, but if you prefer, send me your phone number, I'll be happy to call you and answer any questions that you might have. Question:
What is front axle? Frame is who's?Independent or what? Doors appear to not fit to good, is that true? Is this a steel bodied car with glass boards, fenders & Hood? I would not be interested in the blower and dual carbs, can anything be worked out with that. I want it as a cruisin car. Maybe even without the B & M transmission. Ron
Answer:
The front axle is a four inch drop. The frame is a TCI, four bar front and rear. Model A doors over lap in rear, which makes it look like they don't fit...they are not supposed to be flush. It is a steel body, steel hood, steel grill shell, steel running boards glass fenders front and rear. I am not interested in stripping the motor apart. Would you like to buy this car without the motor, transmission and exhaust for $15,000.00, bottom line? Thanks for looking. On [2008-06-04 21:49:27] racing8 wrote: > What is front axle? Question:
Thanks for info on car. One thing more. Is it setup or does it have A/C. I have a built 350 motor in my shop, so the car without engine and tranny makes some sense. I would want, I'm sure, the custom exhaust system which would be only useful for that car. Ron On [2008-06-05 10:05:17] ddibert wrote: > The front axle is a four inch drop. Answer:
The 1930 Ford does NOT have heat or air, although they could be added without much trouble. If you are interested at $15,000, I could leave the exhaust pipes, mufflers and the tail pipes. I would keep the motor, headers and transmission. Don On [2008-06-05 19:44:15] racing8 wrote: > Thanks for info on car. One thing > more. Is it setup or does it have A/C. That number is quite intriguing. Did you build the car? I will have to think about it, and then take a little ride. I live in Mooresville, NC, so it is a little truck up there. Question:
Don: Hey, it's me again. I'm still thinking about your 30 Ford. Do you buy and sell street rods? I noticed you had another rod for sale. Would you be interested in $18,000 and I'll take off blower and dual carb set-up and return to you. The things I think bring down the value of you car, no interior, no heat or A/C & Blower set-up. Comment! Ron I am in the middle for finishing a 69 Camaro, so my wife ain't to happy to hear that I am interest in you car. Again that's my problem, not yours. See Ya! Answer:
Hello Ron, No, I really don't buy and then sell Street Rods...it is just that I have a few too many, summer in PA is too short, ...and in the meantime, I'm not getting any younger... I don't get to use them all, so a couple have to go. I'm really not interested in stripping the motor, as you have suggested. I know that the car needs the interior and AC, but some folks think that the Blower is a plus.... My compromise offer of $15,000...I keep the motor.... but could leave the exhaust pipes, mufflers and the tail pipes is still on the table.
