This car has everything. Top-of-the-line $55K build. No corners cut. Featured on the April cover of PCA Club Racing Magazine. It is located in north-central Florida, roughly 100 miles from Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville.
The Spec Boxster series is the largest and most competitive class in Porsche Club racing and typically draws fields of 25-30 cars. The series is limited to first-generation Porsche Boxsters (1997-1999) and requires the use of stock OEM 2.5L engines and stock transmissions. Some upgrades are allowed in suspension and braking systems. This car is also competitive in the SCCA T3 (Touring) Class.
This 1999 Boxster was transformed into a Spec Boxster racer in April 2018 by RennPart Motorsports in Virginia. It won its first two races out of the box. The car was purchased by the current owner in August 2020. In September 2021, a rare, ZERO hour, Porsche factory 2.5L M96 engine was installed by Vortex Motorsports in Tampa. The engine has now raced fewer than 2,000 miles since installation and its performance has been flawless. It produced more than 200HP in a recent dynamometer run (193-195 is typical for Boxster engines).
Maintenance has been meticulously performed after each race. Fluids are regularly changed. Brake pads, rotors, and calipers are new. Most general maintenance can be performed in a home garage. Exacting records have been kept on all maintenance work, including cost and part sourcing.
This car has current PCA and SCCA Competition Log Books.
