Selling my ES prepped 1999 Mazda Miata Sport. I ran it in ES in 2022 where it took 2nd at the NJ Pro and Trophied at Nationals. It is a pretty standard turn key ES build. Koni yellows, Racing Beat FSB, Penske Black bump stops cut to legal height (should have other bump stops if you prefer soft/med). It is now sitting on brand new Conti ECS’s which daily drive amazingly but I have the 205/50/15 Yokohama A052s that I ran last year with good life still in them. I like to think it would have done better at Nationals but the end link mounts on the control arm snapped and I had to find some great ppl to weld it back up. Luckily this means it has brand new oem front control arms installed and the end links are now shorted for the next owner so it shouldn’t happen again (at least not anytime soon).
The car is a rust free 99 Sport with AC, Power steering, and Manual windows. Some weight can be cut removing the AC/Power steering but the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze to me. When I bought the car I had most the major blemishes repaired (fender dent, bumper scratches) so it looks good for its age, but its still old so lets say it’s a 3 footer. You will find small dings/paint imperfections but I am pretty picky about looks.
The car has 157k miles but runs and drives great with no issues. Top doesn’t leak, I have had it outside in a few storms with no issue. The passenger top latch could be tighter but it hasn’t been an issue. Interior is in mostly good shape with 1 tear in the drivers seat but nothing too bad. It has a double in radio that has wireless apple car play which I love and all the electronics function as they should.
I love this car and I really just want to keep it around but I really don’t drive it much and I now have a BS Supra so I haven’t taken the Miata to any events sadly. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and I will do my best to answer them.
