Let me tell everyone a little bit about me. I am 23 years old and grew up always watching racing whether if it was drag racing or nascar as a kid. I am a full time student at the University of North Florida studying Business Management and Marketing and will graduate within the next year. When I am not racing or going to school, I also work full time as a sales manager at a landscape company that produces colored mulch products. I enjoy watersports such as wakeboarding and sports in general but RACING is my passion and my life.

Racing is such a good time to me because I really enjoy being able to go to the racetrack and spend time with friends and family doing what we all enjoy to do which is race and win. But no matter what winning or not, I always enjoy going to the racetrack. When I first told my parents that I wanted to start drag racing, they told me I was crazy and that it was really expensive to buy a Junior Dragster. Anyone that has had owned a Junior Dragster over the years knows that it takes almost the same amount of money to race one of those cars as it does a big car. My parents convinced me that I should drive a Junior Dragster before spending all that money to buy one to make sure that racing was something I really wanted to do. We went racing a lot as my Stepdad at the time was drag racing motorcycles. We found out that Gainesville Raceway would rent out Junior Dragsters for kids to get experience and we decided this was the first step to see if I would enjoy racing a Junior Dragster. WOW, what a great time I had driving one. I was so excited about it after the first time down the racetrack at about 50mph. It it pretty cool that now I get to go about 150mph in my camaro in a 1/4 mile versus my Junior Dragster running 70mph in 1/8 mile. After about three weekends of renting a Junior Dragster, I finally convinced my parents I was serious about owning one. However, my parents told me that they weren't going to be able to afford one for a while. I was upset and decided to take action. I was fourteen years old and just like the motivated kid I have always been, I was determined to own one. Needless to say after hunting sponsorships and saving my own money for about 6 months with the help of my family, sponsors and the little bit of money I saved while umpiring baseball games, I finally bought my first Junior Dragster, which was a used Junior Dragster built by Chassis Dynamics. But the bottom line it was mine and not anyone else's and that is still one of the proudest moments of my life. When I heard my Junior Dragster fire off for the first time I knew I was accomplishing a dream. After 3 years of Junior Drag Racing, I sold my Junior Dragster because I was at the age of 17 and you can only race Junior Dragsters until 18 and purchased a 1970 Chevy Nova. The Nova was a project car that we worked on for about a year or so before selling it because a friend of mine had a 1972 Chevy Camaro for sale. So I decided the camaro was the car I wanted and so the Nova was never finished and was sold as a rolling chassis to allow me to purchase this Camaro as a rolling chassis. However, as you will see in my photo gallery this racecar has came a long way over the year it took me to build this car which I finished in November of 2007. We put a used 427 bbc in the car to start with that only lasted 30 passes before blowing up because it was not properly assembled. I was devastated and couldn't believe that I spent all this time and money over the past two years to only make 30 passes in the car and the motor was junk. So there was about two months this year that I was without a race car motor until once again I was able to buy a another motor this time deciding to buy a brand new one that would hopefully last longer than 30 passes. I have been racing this new motor for the past 6 months and haven't had the first problem thanks to Hartbeat Racing building a terrfic 555bbc motor that runs 9.00s and has more power than I ever need in this car. I plan to continue to race this car in the future in the super pro class as well as trying to compete in some super street classes at divisional races in the future. This new trailer would help further my racing career and I truly believe that I am very deserving of this giveaway sweepstakes and hope that everyone will vote for me. If there is anything else you want to know, just ask away...I would like to just also say thanks to everyone who has helped me out over the years in racing... I know I posted a blog mentioning some of the people that has influenced my racing life but the names and list could go on forever and that is why drag racing is so special to me because it is overall just one big family...
