"News flash, I keep seeing your post bashing Racing Junk and not to defend it but ALL of the hot rod, classic and collector car sites are full of scammers!!!! If they last long enough it will eventually attract the scum bags!!!! Craigslist is one of the oldest and it is absolutely overran with scam artist of every description!!! Secondly the more modified and specialized a car is the harder it is to find that one right person that likes what you like!!!!! Case in point if your cars is out of the norm as far as the have always been hot colors, as in red, black, white and blue, the less the amount of people it will appeal to!!!! Thirdly look at your market, there are a lot of old timers that are looking more for something that is easy to get in and out of, is comfortable for longer than a few mile ride to the local cruise in, and isn't so highly modified that you can take it on a long trip if you want to. And lastly and the biggest factor as I see it is that very few have the $$$$ to drop $35000 or more in CASH on what is basically a fair weather toy especially after the disaster of 8 years of that USA and economy destroying TRAITOR obozo!!!! Before he entered office and the housing crash took place almost everyone was taking a line of credit against the equity in their house to buy one with and now the vast majority are lucky after the market adjustment to even break even, and when 125% loan to value mortgages were commonplace they leveraged their homes to the hilt to buy what in all honesty is a frivolous purchase!!!! So if you look at all of these factors and your car falls into more than a couple of them there is your answer!!!! Not to mention the days of getting premium money out of your toy is long gone and the only cars selling are the ones that the people who still have the disposable income to buy one are not turning lose of their hard earned $$$$ unless they feel like they are getting a steal!!!! So before you decide that it is the sites you have your car listed on is at fault, have a long hard look at the car your are trying to move and ask yourself if you would pay what you are asking for it if it was you in the market for one and it was your hard earned dollars leaving your pocket for it!!!! A lot of the sellers on here have Barrett Jackson and Mecum syndrome because they have watched hours on end of these circuses and decide that because something remotely similar on there sold for X amount of dollars so mine should too!!!! Anyone that has a long period of time working in the car sales market will quickly tell you that what these cars are selling for at these hobby destroying auctions has absolutely NOTHING to do with what their TRUE value is!!!! The vast majority of the buyers on there are over moneyed over ego'ed a#$holes that know absolutely NOTHING about the car market and are just trying to impress all the a#$holes they run around with by paying a stupid amount of money for a car!!!! Most don't realize that the people who buy and restore these cars lose their a#$es at these auctions because they knew going in that what it took to make this a no excuses 100 percent correctly restored car is a money losing proposition!!!! It cost vastly more than you will ever sell one for to end up with the end result!!!! That is my two cents worth and if you think you are going to list a car and immediately sell it of make a good trade think again!!!! The last one I sold and or trade took over 18 months to make a deal I was happy with!!!! If you want a quick sale or trade then get ready to dump the price to the absolute rock bottom and leave money on the table in the process!!!! It is currently a buyers market and unless you are willing to wait it out and find that one buyer then get ready to lose your a#$!!!! That is the only way you are going to move it quickly and if you made a bad trade and put too much money in your car that is NOT the potential buyers problem!!!! That has ZERO to do with what it is REALLY worth!!! Chock it up to a lesson learned!!!!!"

About Me -

"Disco" Dean Karns Jr. I am 34, own an operate my own blown alcohol dragster, called "The Disco Biscuit"6.53 at 207 mph, and I'm a die hard bracket racer trying to go pro! I'am the 2008 NOPI/NHRA Extreme Dragster World Champion. I also hold the Extreme Dragster National ET record of 6.53 seconds in the 1/4 mile. I also hold the MPH record of 207 mph. I also own a Top Alcohol Funny Car called "The Disco Wallbanger" it should debut around December or January, it is a 2002 Carbon Fiber Camaro body on a Gordy Chassis. The last car I own is a 2004 racetech Super comp dragster called
"The Widow Maker".I decided to build this car to hit all the high dollar bracket races, keep me in the seat on a weekly basis and win ALOT OF MONEY, which we call "FUNNY CAR FOOD"! The "Widow Maker" makes money to feed the "Wallbanger"....at least that's the plan. You know it is a shame in the drag racing industry that it's not your talent that can get you a ride, but how much money you can bring to the table, or who you know!!! I was Racing Junks week 19 winner so check out the pictures in my gallery, and WATCH THE VIDEO. I tried hard to win the $55,000 sponsorship giveaway!!"The cash would of gave me the financial opportunity to get my Funny Car finished or a seat in TAD or TA/FC for about 4 divisional races " maybe less, depending on how many rods we would puke out!! (lol) and to show my talent and of becoming a professional driver!
I'am also a crewmember on Jeff Wilsons TA/FC team, bottom end, rods/mains between rounds!!Gotta start somewhere might as well be on the bottom. (Ha Ha) I won my first Wally at Indy's,11th Annual Fall Classic,in the Jegs Super Quick class.....
My fastest pass is a 6.34 at 214 mph in Rockingham,NC. I am a 3 time hydraulic world champion on the "lowrider" magazine world tour. Hosted 2 full length movie/dvd's titled
"The Lowrider Experience." I will drive anything at any time, I'm hungry and never turn down a opportunity 2 drive!! driving something is better than driving nothing!!After all who wouldn't want to race for a living!!!! "Watch the video" click on vids next to View gallery pics in the features box!! check out my new pix by clicking on view albums!!
