About Me -

Member for: 9 years, 1 month, 28 days

I started racing motorcycles at the age of 4. When I was 14 I stepped into my first race car; an Opel Manta mini stock. My mom and my dad were both "dirt" cirle track racers and multi-time track champions. (Yes I said my mom, 4 time track champion, with over 100 feature wins.) My dads career was just as impressive. I did well my first year and moved into the street stock division in my second year. I ran street stock for 2 more years, won a championship, and then went into the Air Force. I raced off and on when ever I would come home for a visit. After seperating from the military, I built a new pro-stock. I won the championship and all the major races of the year. Then, I had to sell the car when I relocated across the country to go to college. I got hooked up with a few die hard southern racers. I began racing with them for nearly 8 years. I eventually moved back to Nevada, where I currently reside. I raced a 74 Camaro in the hobby stock class last year, and had a ball. It's a run what you brung and hope it's enough kind of class. The only adjustments are tire stagger and pressure at the track. You can change shocks, springs, etc... but why, that starts taking the fun out of it and usually doesn't make enough difference; once you have the setup for the track? I finally bit the bullet this year and bought a modified forr the first time. We'll see how this year goes in the new class. So far, I feel pretty good about my racing career. I have won multiple track championships and just about ever big race within a 5 track radius at least once. I've been successful in Nevada, California, Florida, Alabama and Georgia so far. As long as I'm racing I'm having fun and living the dream.
