First of all I would like to start off with saying that I am FEMALE... :)
I grew up around hotrods while my brothers and their friends were driving the 56 chevys, the corvettes, chevelles and camaros.... along with the "starsky and hutch" clones, and so on... So it was just natural to get interested in having one also at some point in my life... My first car was a 68 skylark with a 350... when I was around 18 yrs old. Then as the years passed and I became older I purchased a 69 camaro rs. Restored this and had to sell it.. then I had a short lived 70 Nova... dont want to go there on why I dont have this one anymore... Rrrrrr but then I found a 72 camaro and rebuilt that and traded it off for a 55 chevy.. But my heart was set on getting another Nova.. so I hunted around and found one that absolutely blew my mind! I had to get it... :) I can see it all finished and ready for the road. There is alot of work ahead of me and with the help of my boyfriend Im sure we will have it all finished up for this spring :D ... I will be posting all the progress on here in my 68 Nova album, So check it out every now and then to see how its coming along!
I do all the majority of the work myself.. It's nice to have help with the things that I dont fully know or understand,, I'm never too old to learn anything.... ;) So, I went from building sbc's to bbc's and now to a blown 454! THIS WILL BE A CHALLENGE!! Im learning day by day what I need to do to make it right! The guy that owned this Nova before was too unsure of himself with alot of what he put together, he was more used to building sbc blown motors.. BBC are alot different all the way around! So this means tearing the motor apart to see what he has in it.. UGH!!!!!!!! Well keep watching for the progress... I might be looking for some input on getting it all together! Thanks :)
