NHRA has set schedules for its Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle classes for the 74th Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season in 2025. While Top Fuel and Funny Car categories are competing in all 20 races set for the coming year, Pro Stock will contest 18 of those while, once again, Pro Stock Motorcycle is set for 15 dates. The two categories\u2019 GETTRX NHRA All-Star Callouts will continue in both Pro Stock classes next year, offering a specialty race for both cars and motorcycles.<\/p>\n
Pro Stock will race at every Mission Foods contest, excepting both Chicago and Richmond. While Chicago was the location of the class’s GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout the past two seasons, that event has a new location for 2025, taking place Saturday, June 28, during the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, held annually at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, one of the most extolled races on the NHRA schedule.<\/p>\n
Not only is Greg Anderson the defending winner of the 2024 Pro Stock Callout, but the six-time Pro Stock champion is the reigning titleholder in the class with his KB Titan Racing Chevrolet Camaro earning the championship in the final run of the final race of this past season. Anderson beat teammate Dallas Glenn to earn his sixth title, tying nemesis Erica Enders of Elite Motorsports in the championship tally.<\/p>\n
Once again Pro Stock Motorcycle will contest 15 national events in 2025, starting with the traditional season opener, the 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals, held March 6-9 at legendary Gainesville Raceway in the city of the same name in Florida. The two-wheeled class is racing at the four-wide Charlotte corniest and will return to Chicago for a third consecutive season.<\/p>\n
Following a busy June, with races at Bristol, Richmond and Norwalk, Pro Stock Motorcycle will again compete in Seattle, where the class raced for its first time in 2023, and will also race at Sonoma. The Pro Stock Motorcycle GETTRX Callout takes place during the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals, scheduled Saturday, July 27. Six-time class champion Matt Smith, who finished second on his Denso Buell to two-time consecutive champ Gaige Herrera\u2019s Vance & Hines Motorsports Suzuki Hayabusa3 in 2024, will be looking to repeat his Sonoma specialty-race victory.<\/p>\n
Pro Stock Motorcycle will skip the race at Brainerd again in 2025 but return to competition for the final seven races of the NHRA season, beginning with the 71st annual Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Brownsburg, IN, annually held during the long Labor Day holiday weekend.<\/p>\n
The exciting and very popular Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge races, which has introduced ultra-competitive racing, a bonus payout and bonus championship points to Saturday qualifying in the \u201cregular\u201d season prior to the Countdown to the Championship, returns in 2025, taking place at 13 regular-season events on the NHRA calendar, and includes the pair of four-wide contests at both Las Vegas and Charlotte.<\/p>\n
