\nPaul Lee’s domination over the performance clutch market continues with the recent announcement that the Wharton Group has acquired Competition Clutch, a leader in the sport compact clutch and flywheel market.\u00a0 Currently, the Wharton Automotive Group (WAG) consists of McLeod Racing, FTI Converters
\n& Transmissions, FTI Performance Parts, Powertrain Technologies, Silver Sport Transmissions,
\nand now, of course, Competition Clutch.<\/p>\n

This acquisition follows Lee’s vision of providing a one stop shop for customers interested in performance driveline options, a cause that WAG has committed to down to the very basic with the launch of manufacturing arm FTI Performance Parts, announced last November at the Performance Race Industry show in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

With Competition Clutch, WAG is getting a company from prior owner Chris Jewell that has lead the way in everything from stock replacements to full race twin disc and triple disc clutches. This fits neatly with an already demonstrated commitment to customer service, performance and technological advancement in the driveline market.<\/p>\n

Competition Clutch will now be based out of Anaheim, California where McLeod is located.<\/p>\n
