Red Line Synethetic Oils has sighed on as PDRA title sponsor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) is primed for a rejuvenated 2024 season, announcing at the Performance Racing Industry show (PRI) that it has signed Red Line Synthetic Oils as series title sponsor for the upcoming season and beyond. Red Line becomes the first title sponsor for PDRA in its 10-year history of all-eighth-mile racing.<\/p>\n

The Red Line Oil Drag Racing Series features eight points-paying contests as well as its fourth annual Summit Racing Equipment PDRA ProStars race, scheduled for July 12-13 at Virginia Motorsports Park during the Night of Fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a huge moment for the padre,\u201d said Tommy Franklin, co-owner and co-founder of PDRA. \u201cSince 2014, we\u2019ve been building a reputation as the place to race for Pro Mods, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Jr. Dragsters and more. I always say our racers in the PDRA are the best anywhere,\u201d he emphasized. \u201cIt means a lot to all of us at PDRA that Mark Beatty and Red Line Oil believe in what we\u2019re doing and wanted to get more involved with the series in such a big way. I can\u2019t think of a better way to kick off the next 10 years of the PDRA,\u201d Franklin stated.<\/p>\n

Mark Beatty, brand director for Red Line Synthetic Oil said the company recognizes the distinction of racing PDRA. \u201cThere\u2019s something special about the PDRA and the racers, and how they do their events,\u201d he said. \u201cI was fortunate enough to go to the Red Line Oil Carolina Nationals this year, and the whole feeling of the event was unlike anything that I\u2019d ever experienced before at a racetrack. At the root of everything going on,\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>he emphasized, \u201cthe organization is in touch with the racers and the fans. That\u2019s who we are as a brand, as well. We take things personal. Things matter to us. It\u2019s a great fit for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the participation of Red Line Oil, which began participating in PDRA activities this past year, signing on as title sponsor of the Red Line Oil Carolina Nationals, the company increased its product sponsorship to a number of teams competing in PDRA, including Franklin, who earned the 2023 Switzerland Dynamics Pro Nitrous world championship and Blake Denton, 2023 Afco Racing Super Street presented by Menscer Motorsports world champion.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Red Line Oil\u2019s support, PDRA\u2019s two headlining categories – Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive – will see increases in purses to allow event winners in both classes to earn $10,000 each. \u201cThat raises our per-race purse for Pro Mod to over $50,000 per event, which totals $400,000 for the season for the two Pro Modified classes,\u201d noted Tyler Crossnoe, PDRA series director. \u201cThe additional classes will see slight increases across the board as well. The PDRA has always been about paying back as much as possible to the racers, and Red Line\u2019s support is helping us do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The eight-race 2024 schedule includes two stops each at GALOT motorsports Park and Virginia Motorsports Park, together with single races at series favorites like Summit Motorsports Park, Maryland International Raceway and US 131 Motorsports Park. An addition for the 2024 the PDRA makes its first appearance at Bristol Dragway in Bristol, TN.<\/p>\n

These drivers and teams and owners pour their heart and soul into what they have going on, and we\u2019re honored to be a part of that and help lift everything that they have going on, by adding value to the series and helping put a little bit of extra coin in the racer\u2019s pocket. I hope that the racers appreciate what we\u2019re doing as a brand,\u201d Beatty concluded, \u201cbecause in the end, we\u2019re really doing it for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
