NHRA Top Fuel racer Buddy Hull<\/a> has had a wild ride the past two years, literally. An avid racer, Hull is no stranger to things that go fast, but it wasn’t until 2021 that he entered the professional NHRA drag race space at the Southern Nationals, competing in 12 races that season. He followed that up in 2022 by purchasing Tim Wilkerson’s Top Fuel dragster\u00a0with Wilkerson guiding him as a mentor and crew chief. The car is now the Vertex Roofing and General Contractors Top Fuel dragster and Hull is eager to enter the 2023 season, using all the knowledge he gained from the past season where he placed a very respectable 20th, right behind Krista Baldwin.<\/p>\n

Last week, the Texas-based driver and team owner announced a new partnership at the 2022 Performance Racing Industry show — Australian based Methanol Moonshine<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cThe excitement and sheer power of NHRA Top Fuel drag racing is beyond comparison on many levels,\u201d said Methanol Moonshine founder, Wade Aunger, \u201cbut when you throw a dynamic and committed individual like Buddy Hull into the mix you have a cocktail for something completely left of center and completely wide open. Buddy Hull Racing and Methanol Moonshine will collaborate on a uniquely themed brand of merchandise available exclusively through Buddy\u2019s website and other merchandise avenues.<\/p>\n

Since we started talking back at Indy, we all just hit it off and did everything possible to work together,\u201d says Hull. \u201cIt’s an absolute perfect fit with our team and the look of the car is something special.
