\"\"<\/a>Borowski Race Engines is expanding beyond LS engine builds to include the Big Dog — Big Block Chevys.<\/h2>\n

Borowski Race Engines, Inc. (BRE)<\/a><\/strong> is known for its high-end LS engine builds featuring with Dart LS Next engine blocks.\u00a0 Race fans all over the world come to Borowski to increase power, performance and just plain excellence.\u00a0 Now, BRE is expanding its focus across the engine world to include Big Block Chevy (BBC) engines using Dart Machinery\u2019s Big M and Big M Sportsman blocks.<\/p>\n

Ductile iron caps mean the Sportsman blocks are great for naturally aspirated and light boost engine builds, while the Big M\u2019s\u00a0 billet steel caps can handle considerably higher boost. Borowski will be using\u00a0 standard bore size of 4.560\u201d which, at slightly larger than standard bore for a BBC engine, will leave room for future refreshes.<\/p>\n

All BRE\u2019s BBC builds will use the same 4.250\u201d stroke, since Borowski aims to provide more boost to hit\u00a0 horsepower targets rather than push the cubic inches using weaker parts combinations and engine geometries. The selected dimensions (4.560\u201d bore x 4.250\u201d stroke) yield 555 cubic inches of engine displacement.<\/p>\n

Borowski will still be using the same high quality vendors that have supplied parts for the LS Builds, including:\u00a0 Callies Performance for crankshafts and rods, Diamond Pistons for pistons, COMP Cams
\nfor camshafts and Dart Machinery for Pro1 BBC cylinder head porter castings in order to incorporate BRE proprietary ports and combustion chambers on its 5-axis CNC.<\/p>\n

In addition, BRE will be offering parts and assemblies to other engine builders, speed shops and retail customers. That practice is part of the BRE business model of holding parts inventory, and has greatly benefited customers during the current supply and delivery issues through the industry.<\/p>\n

For those ready to embrace the BBC, BRE is offering a limited-time introductory special of free finish-machining and assembly of the Dart BBC Sportsman now in BRE inventory with the purchase of the block, parts kit and cam bearings. The blocks can be finished to any bore size from 4.560\u201d to the Dart recommended 4.625\u201d maximum.<\/p>\n
