Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s chase for the championship was cut short on Sunday at the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway when a multi-car accident sent him back to the pits with a damaged car with only two laps left.<\/p>\n

This season has proven to be a roller coaster ride as the list of drivers that have been eliminated from title contention reads like a “who’s who” of NASCAR: Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch and now Dale Earnhardt Jr.<\/p>\n

Brad Keselowski manages to advance to the Eliminator Round with a win at Talladega, one of the toughest tracks on the schedule.<\/p>\n
