It was a mid-engined Corvette that had the performance to rival exotics that cost 4 times as much. General Motors however, did not want to make the C8 highly tunable so they did their best to encrypt the C8 Corvette ECU, making it seemingly impossible to tune the car. Even three years later no one has cracked the C8 Corvette ECU, while others have been using proprietary methods and piggyback ECUs to circumvent this major limitation.
