We wanted to feature John and his Comet and get a little background of this cool car. I was taken for a ride by my Cousin Tony. I was 15 at the time, he was 17 and had a 1975 Mustang II Fastback that he had hot-rodded up with a 302 4 barrel,\\u00a0 intake, cam, headers, shift kit, and man\\u0026#8211;I felt like a rocket ship. That\\u2019s how I fell in love with small-block Fords.\\u00a0 From then I bought a 1965 falcon Sprint as my first hot Rod with a 302 and the intake and carb off my cousin\\u0026#8217;s car. Built that and raced it for about 10 years (still have it. ..just gave it to my son for his 18th birthday.)\\u00a0 The Comet came into the picture after I got married, my wife actually found it and it has evolved ever since.\\u00a0 Ran low10s with a 289 in it. Best et before we did this last \\u201cupgrade\\u201d lol it went an ET of 9.53 @ 140.\\n\\nThe new set up we front clipped it and then back halfed it we did all the fabrication here ourselves chassis to engine body and paint.\\u00a0 \\n\\nParts list:\\n\\nDart aluminum block\\nAFR heads\\nJessel rockets and belt drive\\nOliver rods\\nDiamond pistons\\nComp Roller cam and liters\\nStephs oil pan\\nBain racing intake from Australia\\nWilson throttle body\\nM1 VP fuel\\nHolley EFI Dominator ECU with all the bells, whistles, and sensors,\\nProChargrer F1X gear drive\\nAeromotive mechanical fuel system.\\nLiberty 5 sod\\nBoninfante clutch\\nMark Williams 9\\u201d and axels\\nWeld wheels s\\ntrange struts and brakes.\\nS\\u0026amp;W 4 link and hardware and tubing through out.\\n\\nHolley tuning is done with the help of Robert from RTR automotive. My sons and I fabricated everything in house here including the Zoomie headers and all the welding skills are of my good friend Daryl G.\\u00a0 Can\\u2019t disclose how fast it\\u2019s been (we do a lot of shoot outs and no prep also. Been racing all up and down the east coast with in from small tire NPK races to shoot out events. \\u00a0 Won a 28s gone wild in N Carolina last year .
