When it comes to racing most race fans may envision some of the world\u2019s most popular asphalt races, such as the Indy 500, Daytona 500 or even the NHRA\u2019s famed Four-Wide Nationals. Although these are cool experiences there is a whole other side of this sport that you may be missing out on, which is why we have developed a list of unforgettable motorsports events that are sure to get your motor running and your blood pumping.<\/p>\n

RacingJunk\u2019s Top Off-Road Races of 2021<\/h3>\n

\u2022 Baja 500:<\/a> <\/strong>One of the most exciting and talked about off-road races in the history of desert races is actually taking place this weekend (June 9 – 13, 2021). Starting on the Baja California Peninsula and ending in the Mexican coastal city of Ensenada, the Baja 500 is a weeklong race where teams compete in one of the longest off-road desert races in motorsports history. Beginning over 50 years ago, this race has featured some of the most famous names in racing, including both Bob and Robby Gordon, Ivan Stewart, and Larry Ragland.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Visions Off-Road 2021<\/a><\/strong>: Taking place July 16-25, 2021, this off-road race features eight days of racing at MidAmerica Outdoors, in Jay, Oklahoma, which spans over 1,000 acres and features a wide variety of spectator-friendly race areas. Along with featuring some of the toughest racing competition you will ever see, event promoters have also invited some of the coolest monster trucks and motocross drivers to perform the most amazing stunts you have ever seen.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Best in the Desert Finale:<\/a><\/strong> The top tier of off-road racing series has continued to have one of the most thrilling series finales each season and with this season being a big return following the COVID-19 pandemic, the series finale of the Best in the Desert Series in Parker, Arizona, November 4-7, 2021, is sure to be the best off-road climax race yet.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Baja 1000:<\/a><\/strong> A take on the earlier mentioned Baja 500 is a 1,000-mile off-road race that is better known as the most brutal and dangerous race ever known. In fact, it has claimed dozens of lives since its debut in 1967. The next treacherous event will take place in Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula November 15-20, 2021 and will feature racing throughout the most tumultuous terrain possible.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Mint 400:<\/strong><\/a> Better known as The Great American Off-Road Race, the Mint 400 is an annual 400-mile marathon off-road race in the brutal Nevada desert that includes over 450 race teams in 24 different classes of off-road vehicles. This event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 1-5, 2021.<\/p>\n
