With multiple 4×4 models and modes to take the reborn icon into the back country, the Bronco was ready to strut it’s stuff on dirt. Shortly after the vehicle launch, Ford announced that it was developing Bronco Off-Roadeo camps for novice and experienced drivers to fully unlock the capabilities of their new SUVs.

“Bronco is more than a vehicle, it’s an outdoor brand, and the Bronco Off-Roadeo will help bring it to life,” said Lindsey Laporte, Bronco experiences manager. “It’s an immersive experience, and Bronco owners will come away with a greater level of off-road skills and a more thorough understanding of Bronco capability, all while being introduced to the Bronco Nation community.”

The first of these will open on June 28 in Horseshoe Bay, Texas — the hill country outside of Austin. Filled with ranch land and private trails, drivers will traverse steep hills, craggy ledges, and wild horses (of the non-motorized kind) in a stunning vista. (It being Central Texas in summer, they will also experience heat. So. Much. Heat.)

According to Ford, the program, which is free for owners of the new Broncos, will lead with an intro to the Bronco’s off-road features including Trail Control AND Terrain Management System™ with G.O.A.T. Modes™, and the FordPass Performance app with off-road navigation, stabilizer bar-disconnect, One-Pedal Drive, Trail Turn Assist, front and rear differential lockers, and 360-degree camera system with spotter view.

After the tech lesson, trail guides will “help Bronco owners learn to better navigate off-road courses and explore rugged trails.
