Goodguys has just announced Chevrolet Performance is now the official sponsor of the \u201cGoodguys Chevrolet Performance Builder\u2019s Choice Saturday Special Area\u201d for the rest of the 2021 event series, starting with the 11th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona. As part of this partnership, Goodguys is going to be adding two brand new trophies to its 2021 \u201cOf the Year\u201d awards, the \u201cGoodguys Chevrolet Performance Builder of the Year,\u201d one which will recognize and showcase the top GM vehicle, and one the top non-GM vehicle, and their builders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a special partnership in many ways, but the most significant piece is Chevrolet\u2019s support in recognizing not only the cars, but the builders who developed them,\u201d said Goodguys VP of Sales &amp; Partnerships Jason Snyder. \u201cChevrolet Performance is legendary in respect to performance and hot rodding, but also emerging with new technology that allows the hot-rodding and custom community to continue to break new ground. To have Chevrolet Performance support Builder\u2019s Choice and recognize professional builders is special for all involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChevrolet Performance is proud to partner with Goodguys and recognize builders who are passionate about Hot Rods and Performance. This is an exciting opportunity for us to connect with our loyal enthusiasts\u201d said Todd Gallant, Chevrolet Performance Marketing Manager.<\/p>\n<p>The competition for the \u201cChevrolet Performance Builder of the Year\u201d title will begin at the 11th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals in Scottsdale on April 16-18 and continue through the 20th Meguiar\u2019s Del Mar Nationals on October 1-3, 2021. To participate, builders will need to register their participating vehicle when they check-in for each event and must park their vehicle in the special parking area on Saturday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. One vehicle and its builder will be chosen as a \u201cfinalist\u201d for each class by the Goodguys and Chevrolet Performance Awards Selection Committee. The classes include the \u201cChevrolet GM Iron Builder of the Year\u201d for GM vehicles, and the \u201cChevrolet Retro Iron Builder of the Year\u201d for non-GM vehicles with a GM powertrain to build a field of 14 competitors for each class.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cGoodguys Chevrolet Performance Builder of the Year\u201d winners will be officially selected from the field of finalists by the Goodguys and Chevrolet Performance Awards Selection Committee on Friday, October 8. The grand prize winner and their winning vehicle for each respective class will be showcased at the 24th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona, November 19-21. The winning builder of the \u201cChevrolet GM Iron\u201d class will win a Chevrolet Performance LT5 Connect &amp; Cruise crate powertrain system, and the winning builder of the \u201cChevrolet Retro Iron\u201d class will win a Chevrolet Performance LS3 Connect &amp; Cruise powertrain system.
