dually has been earning it\u2019s keep. Within the month of September, I have covered 90% of the east coast with events as far north as Maine and all the way down to Bradenton, Florida. I have always loved road trips, but even this road warrior has gotten a new appreciation for traveling music.<\/p>\n<p>When I left off in my last blog, we were just about to host the Right2Breathe \u201cThunder in the Park\u201d car show at the Somerset Patriots Ballpark in Bridgewater, NJ. Thanks to some incredible work by Al Liebmann, support from the Dead Man\u2019s Curve car club, some GREAT sponsors including Summit Racing Equipment, RacingJunk.com, Lucas Oil, POR 15, Tony Stoms and Stoms Automotive, REZ Restoration Beverage, EJK Insurance, Bell Signs and Graphics, S&amp;W Race Cars, Tub O\u2019Scrub, and Federal Process brands; we had an absolutely amazing event.<\/p>\n<p>Show cars, cars from TV shows, Ida Automotive\u2019s customs and race cars, and of course, a ton of my friends brought out their amazing nostalgia Funny Cars from all over the east coast. We even had the Pacer\u2019s Auto\/Tazmanian Devil Fuel Altered and Brian Beattie brought out his beautiful recreation of the Great Expectations AA\/Fuel Dragster.<\/p>\n<p>We sold out the event and raised almost $10,000 to support the Right2Breathe online patient support group and the free lung screenings. Rocky and Donna Pirrone left straight from the car show, while Jen and I went home to unload the Right2Breathe display booth and we took off to catch up with the Pirrones.<\/p>\n<p>I think we stopped near the Massachusetts\/Maine border and slept for the night. We headed out in the morning for Oxford Dragway- a little 1\/8-mile dragstrip near the town of Oxford, Maine. The fans were amazing, even though we struggled to get down the track. We had the Super Camaro tuned up and I think we brought a Bazooka to a knife fight. I had my hands full, but it was a fun time.<\/p>\n<p>As we were headed home, the serpentine belt on my trusty old GMC let go after the belt tensioner seized up. Fortunately, we were only a few miles from an auto parts store, so I jumped in Rocky\u2019s rig and we did a quick \u201cside of the road\u201d repair and made it home without further incident.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s about it for this week\u2019s blog. My fingers are tired and must get packing for Houston.
