The COVID-19 pandemic claims another event, Due to county restrictions, The NHRA<\/span> has announced today that the Menards<\/span>\u00a0NHRA<\/span>\u00a0Heartland<\/span>\u00a0Nationals<\/span>\u00a0presented by Minties at\u00a0Heartland<\/span>\u00a0Motorsports Park, scheduled for Aug. 21-23 in Topeka, Kan., has been\u00a0postponed<\/span>\u00a0until<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0fall<\/span>\u00a0with an exact date to be determined, for pandemic-related reasons.<\/div>\n

NHRA<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Heartland<\/span>\u00a0Motorsports Park are working together with the Shawnee\u00a0County<\/span>\u00a0Health Department to develop a plan to reschedule the event.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cTopeka is fortunate to have a\u00a0county<\/span>\u00a0health department that sincerely cares about public safety and also understands the economic impact of one of Kansas\u2019 largest events,\u201d said\u00a0Heartland<\/span>\u00a0Motorsports Park owner, Chris Payne. \u201cIt is after many conversations, the decision was made to postpone the event to the\u00a0fall<\/span>.\u00a0Heartland<\/span>\u00a0Motorsports Park holds many milestone records. The cooler\u00a0fall<\/span>\u00a0weather will not only be more comfortable for the spectators, but also brings favorable conditions, great racing, camping, and the chance of setting new records.\u201d<\/div>\n

Event ticket holders will receive more information from\u00a0Heartland<\/span>\u00a0Motorsports Park and\u00a0NHRA<\/span>\u00a0via email soon and are encouraged to visit\u00a0heartlandmotorsports.us<\/a>\u00a0to learn about their options.<\/div>\n

The remainder of\u00a0NHRA<\/span>\u2019s 2020 schedule remains the same, but is subject to change based on state and local guidelines.<\/div>\n
