Formula 1 has canceled multiple events including the U.S. Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, as well as three additional events scheduled to be hosted in Canada, Brazil and Mexico. Formula 1 released this statement following the cancellations.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to the fluid nature of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, local restrictions and the importance of keeping communities and our colleagues safe\u201d, and had been made after ongoing discussions and close collaboration with the respective partners in the affected countries.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to pay tribute to our incredible partners in the Americas and look forward to being back with them next season when they will once again be able to thrill millions of fans around the world,\u201d F1 CEO Chase Carey said.<\/em><\/p>\n
