The Team Grit Award, presented by RacingJunk.com, is awarded to a Trans Am driver and team at the conclusion of each Trans Am event for a showing of incredible perseverance or endurance. Prior winners have included David Pintaric, Road Atlanta, and Norm Betts, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.<\/p>\n

New Jersey Motorsports Park \u2013 Joe Aquilante: Making his Trans Am debut as a member of the TA3 International Group, Aquilante arrived at NJMP with two cars, still formulating strategy and setups. Aquilante and his crew worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to ensure that the No. 32 Phoenix Performance Chevrolet Corvette and its sister car would be race ready, affectively squeezing a weeks work into two days. The result? A hard earned second place finish in the class.<\/p>\n

Road America \u2013 Tom Ellis: After losing an engine during an earlier session, Ellis and his crew worked through inhospitable downpours and mud to replace the engine of the No. 51 Palm Express\/ Averitt Ford Mustang and finish race prep. The work was finalized just in time to participate in the 100 mile Trans Am race, with only minutes to go until the grid closed.<\/p>\n
