Roush Fenway Driver Ryan Newman’s last lap crash at the Daytona 500 on Monday night was one of the most frightening since the death of Dale Earnhardt, leaving Newman hospitalized and in series condition.\u00a0 The racing world has been waiting breathlessly for news of the driver, and has recently learned that the prognosis looks good.<\/p>\n

After spending the last two days being treated at a Daytona Beach hospital, the driver of the No. 6 Roush Fenway Ford Mustang has been released from Halifax Medical Center. Prior to walking out the doors of this hospital just a few short hours ago, Newman was reportedly walking around Halifax Medical Center joking around with staff, friends and family all while spending time playing with his two daughters.<\/p>\n

As he continues to improve from this scary experience, Newman and his family continue to express appreciation for the outpouring of support from across the country as well as for the immense support that has been provided by the NASCAR community and beyond.<\/p>\n
