The prestigious honor was previously awarded to the Corvette in 1984 and 1998 and was presented to Tadge Juechter, Corvette executive chief engineer and Michael Simcoe, General Motors vice president of Global Design, at an event featuring industry executives and celebrity guests at MotorTrend\u2019s headquarters in El Segundo.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nUHNATBzFjE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor for the Corvette team to receive this coveted award from MotorTrend against the best the industry has to offer,\u201d said Juechter. \u201cOur design and engineering teams spent several years sweating the details to deliver the first mid-engine Corvette.
