Homestead-Miami Raceway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> was the scene for the final racing weekend of the 2019 NASCAR season. All three series champions have won titles before. Two-time race-winner Austin Hill won the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series Ford Ecoboost 150, but Matt Crafton won the title series Friday evening. Saturday evening Tyler Reddick went back-to-back with his win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Ford Ecoboost 250. Kyle Busch came on strong in the second half of Sunday\u2019s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Ford Ecoboost 400 to win the race and the championship. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Crafton,<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Hattori Racing Enterprises<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> driver <\/span><\/span>Austin Hill<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> won two races during the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series-Daytona in February and the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series Championship race Friday evening. Hill dominated the race, winning both stages, leading 56 laps-a race-high and beating championship-winning driver <\/span><\/span>Matt Crafton<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> by 1.569 seconds. <\/span><\/span>Christian Eckes<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> finished third to give <\/span><\/span>Kyle Busch Motorsports<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> its seventh owner championship, a record for the series. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tyler Reddick<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> told reporters leading up to Saturday\u2019s NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship race that he wanted to win it for owner <\/span><\/span>Richard Childress<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span>\u2019s 50<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> anniversary with NASCAR. At the end of a five lap slugfest with <\/span><\/span>Cole Custer<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span>, he did just that. Custer\u2019s <\/span><\/span>Stewart-Haas Racing<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> teammate <\/span><\/span>Chase Briscoe<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> finished third. This makes Reddick only the seventh driver in Xfinity series history to win back-to-back championships and the only one to do it with two different teams. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Custer will move into the team\u2019s Number 41 for the 2020 Cup season. Christopher Bell will be moving over to the Leavine Family Racing Number 95. Reddick\u2019s moving up to take over the driving duties in the RCR Number 8 next year. Reddick\u2019s win also gave RCR the owner\u2019s championship. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship race could have been named the \u201c<\/span><\/span>Joe Gibbs Racing<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> Versus <\/span><\/span>Kevin Harvick<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span>\u201d show as three of the four drivers Harvick was up against for the title are Gibbs drivers (Kyle Busch, Martin Truex, Jr. and <\/span><\/span>Denny Hamlin<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span>). Harvick gave it a valiant effort, but it was only good enough to finish the race fourth and the year third. <\/span><\/span>Martin Truex, Jr<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span>. was strong the first portion of the race, winning Stage 1; then Kyle pretty much took over, winning Stage 2 and taking the checkered flag and the series trophy.
