This month, Corvette Racing confirmed the arrival of Jordan Taylor to race alongside Spaniard Antonio Garcia in IMSA\u2019s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2020.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The 2020 season marks the first time in nearly a decade that Corvette Racing has a new driver roster for IMSA competition, even as it prepares to launch a new car, the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R. Taylor, most recently racing for his father\u2019s Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR), departs a year after his brother Ricky, who now races for Acura Team Penske. Taylor and Garcia will pilot the No. 3 Mobil 1\/SiriusXM Corvette C8.R, featuring a yellow livery with silver accents.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Jordan Taylor has previous experience with Corvette Racing; he was part of the team\u2019s endurance driver\u2019s lineup from 2012-2017. He helped Corvette Racing to their 2015 victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and finished second at both Sebring and Petit Le Mans, driving for Corvette. Taylor and Garcia have been Corvette endurance teammates in 2012-2014 and again in 2017. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The No. 4 Corvette C8.R continues with Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin, who reunite for the ninth consecutive season. The No. 4\u2019s livery will be silver with yellow accents, further allowing fans to tell the cars apart, something that hasn\u2019t been easy with two yellow cars. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">These four drivers combine to have secured 13 total championships and 102 victories in the tough IMSA GTLM class that is eligible to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a challenge Corvette Racing takes in every calendar year. Garcia is responsible for 17 wins and three titles; Gavin owns 48 of Corvette Racing\u2019s victories and six championships; Milner has won 16 times and taken two titles while Taylor has stepped atop the winner\u2019s rostrum 21 times and secured two championships.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Wayne Taylor, who has fielded a Cadillac DPi for Jordan Taylor and Renger Van Der Zande, had this to say about his son\u2019s departure from WTR: <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u201cI want to congratulate Jordan on being named a factory driver for Chevrolet and Corvette Racing. As a father, I can\u2019t express how proud I am to have both my sons in factory rides and, even though they are no longer with Wayne Taylor Racing, I can only wish them well.
