It is expected that roughly 48,000 Union members are to receive raises and bonuses.<\/p>\n<p>GM looks to also invest at least $7 billion to $7.7 billion in its manufacturing operations and add thousands of new hourly union jobs within the next four years. Also based on a previous proposal, the company also previously agreed to maintain its health insurance, which is considered \u201cgold standard\u201d and requires employees to cover roughly 3% of the total costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe number one priority of the national negotiation team has been to secure a strong and fair contract that our members deserve,\u201d UAW Vice President Terry Dittes, director of the UAW GM department, said in a statement.
