Roxor? It sounds like a casino in Vegas or something. Wait, that\u2019s the Luxor. If you\u2019re into off-roading, Roxor is a name you\u2019re going to be hearing more and more of in the future. Roxor\u2019s vehicle looks like a Jeep CJ chassis, with the major exception that it\u2019s not street legal. Mahindra & Mahindra of India based the Roxor on an earlier vehicle of theirs named the Thar, so although it looks like a Jeep, it isn\u2019t.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s right; the Roxor is a 4X4 utility vehicle that may only be driven off-road. Officially called the <\/span><\/span>Mahindra Roxor<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span>, it’s built by Mahindra Automotive North America. It has a 2.5L M2DICR turbo engine backed by a five-speed manual gearbox with a two-speed manual transfer case with a low ratio. This combination gives it almost 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. The vehicle weighs in at just over 3,000 pounds and has an MSRP of $15,999. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As mentioned above, the Roxor is based upon Mahindra\u2019s Thar but looks like a Jeep, having many of the same dimensions of a Jeep CJ. It looks like a Jeep because it is inspired by the venerable Willys of WWII fame. Roxor also has a ton of accessories and add-ons to fully customize your Roxor, from body mods to bumpers, winches and graphics to climate control, with almost everything in between. The only real visible drawback I can see is that in its stock form, it only has nine inches of ground clearance, something easily improved with a suspension upgrade. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
