Thousands of cars and even more spectators powered through the heat to enjoy one of the premier annual shows on the East Coast.\\n\\nFriday, the first day of the show, was plagued by some rain in the afternoon. This caused some participants to head out early in preparation for the following day, which is typically the busiest of the event.\\n\\nSaturday reached a whopping 95 degrees, with a heat index north of 105 degrees. That didn\\u2019t stop people coming out in droves. When asked how they were enjoying the show, multiple attendees simply responded, \\u201cTrying to stay cool,\\u201d while others noted that the show is always one of the hottest events of the year, both literally and figuratively.\\n\\nSunday, the third and final day of the event, saw a significant drop in cars and spectators alike, but was still nothing short of an awesome time. The big event of the day was Steve Mendenhall and his 1968 Camaro taking home the Winfield Award and $10,000 cash.\\n\\nRacingJunk was front and center in the Horticulture Building alongside Gasoline Alley and Artie\\u2019s Party all weekend. For those who don\\u2019t know, Artie\\u2019s Party is a charity event for the Ronald McDonald House, where Pinstripers from around the world come together and auction off art pieces made over the weekend. Not only have we been a sponsor of Artie\\u2019s Party for years, we also put our money where our mouth is by bidding on items and taking a couple cool pieces home.
