These two days were, unlike the start of the tour, unfortunately wet ones. But rain did not dampen the enthusiasm or enjoyment.\\n\\nThe official route took us along Virginia 58, one of the most scenic and enjoyable drives in the USA. Tight curves, elevation changes and switchbacks all provided a great opportunity to experience Virginia at a very different level than you can get on the Interstate\\u2026\\n\\nThe drive to Martinsville had rain, but the venue was mostly dry. The thousands of participants were not turned off by a little liquid sunshine. It\\u2019s apparently a thing to get a hot dog at the Martinsville race track, and most of my friends tried them. The consensus was that they are just hot dogs.\\n\\nAfter Martinsville, the route took the Power Tour past my hotel in Hillsville, VA so I took the opportunity to shoot some photos of the cars as they drove by in the early morning mist. That mist turned into rain by the time we got to Bristol. Once again though, rain did not deter anyone and the venue was packed. One of the unique offerings at Bristol was the opportunity to drive your car on the track if you purchased tickets. The tickets sold out weeks before the event, and the first scheduled group got to go before the rain came and made it unsafe for anyone else. Unfortunately, my traveling friends had booked their laps for late in the afternoon so were not able to do it.\\n\\nThat\\u2019s hopefully it for the rain, but one never knows. Rain doesn\\u2019t hurt participation; it just makes it a little messier. The next section of the tour should be a little
