The dirt was flying at numerous tracks around the country this past weekend in USAC, ASCS, Lucas Oil Late Model and USMTS racing. Many season openers were delayed by weather, but most series were able to get races in.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

April 27, 2019 USAC Western States Midgets Results<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Austin Liggett from Tracy, California won the USAC Western States Midget race at <\/span><\/span>Santa Maria Speedway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> by speeding past Cory Elliott on the 26<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> lap of the 30 lap feature race for his second straight series win. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

April 27, 2019 USAC West Coast Sprints Results<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Driving the same family-owned race car, Liggett also won the West Coast Sprints main on the same day, garnering his eighth career victory and first USAC West Coast Sprint Car victory by beating pole-sitter Michael Faccinto.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Peoria, Arizona was the site for the \u201cState 48 Classic\u201d at <\/span><\/span>Canyon Speedway Park,<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/span><\/a> where Brody Roa charged from seventh position to take the lead from Stevie Sussex on the seventh lap and never looked back to win his first win of the season and third of his career. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

April 28, 2019 USAC Silver Crown Results<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The USAC Silver Crown Series race at <\/span><\/span>Toledo Speedway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> was delayed until Sunday by Mother Nature, but when the 100 lap Hemelgarn Racing\/Super Fitness \u201cRollie Beale Classic\u201d was finished, Kingsburg, California\u2019s Kody Swanson had his fourth “Classic\u201d win, his second-straight series win in 2019 and his 29<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> overall Silver Crown win, extending his record again. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

April 27, 2019 ASCS Southwest Sprints Results<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Rick Ziehl won the ASCS Southwest Region Southwest Sprints race at Tucson, Arizona\u2019s <\/span><\/span>USA Raceway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span>, coming from his eighth place starting position for his second win in a row. In the San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Sprint Cars race, Dustin Cormany also got his second in a row. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

April 27, 2019 ASCS Gulf South Sprints and Southwest Sprints Results<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Derek Hagar was King of the Wing IV at the <\/span><\/span>Jackson Motor Speedway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> in Byrom, Mississippi in the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South and Stealth Recovery ASCS Mid-South Regions after giving battle from a mid-pack start. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

April 27, 2019 Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models Results<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It had been 23 years since the <\/span><\/span>Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> had been to the <\/span><\/span>Caney Valley Speedway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> but the 24 drivers made it worth the wait, putting on an exciting race for fans. Will Vaught, series runner-up in 2018, earned his first win of the season and his first at the track. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jake O\u2019Neil finished his return to the track on Thursday the 26<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> after sitting out most of April in the USMTS Modifieds with a fifth place finish, following that up on Friday with a third place finish, and finishing the weekend by winning Saturday\u2019s main event at the <\/span><\/span>Longdale Speedway<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> in Longdale, Oklahoma. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
