We are still working on a sponsorship deal. These things take time but like I said before, I am absolutely NOT retiring,\u201d Schumacher said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love this sport and have dedicated most of my life to it. I love my team and they are the best guys I know. Unfortunately, our car will not be at Pomona but I will still be there to support my teammates and fans. His consistency on race day and his team\u2019s resilience, under the care of crew chief Mike \u201cZippy\u201d Neff, helped bring Schumacher to the runner-up spot, even as last year\u2019s champion Steve Torrence amassed a total of 11 victories en route to his first title.
