The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) is implementing their crisis-response plans to combat the effects of the recent wildfires on aftermarket families in California. According to The New York Times,<\/strong><\/a><\/em> the state is currently engaged in battling roughly 17 large fires at once, including the largest in the state\u2019s recorded history. So far at least 59 lives and nearly 9,000 homes have been lost, and over 600 people are missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cApplications for help have been increasing in the wake of the unprecedented wild fires in California, so we initiated our crisis-response plans last week,\u201d said AACF President Lynn Parker. \u201cHundreds of aftermarket employees live and work in the fire areas throughout California.\u201d<\/p>\n

AACF Executive Director Joel Ayres added, \u201cWe are working with our Awareness Partners: SEMA, the Auto Care Association, MEMA and others to try to reach aftermarket families in need as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
