Bob Vandergriff Racing (BVR) is gearing up for the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing season – even before the current 24-race schedule is completed this weekend at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, Calif. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Following his Top Fuel licensing on The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway nearly two weekends ago, Bob\u2019s son Jordan Vandergriff\u2019s 2019 program is already underway. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The younger Vandergriff\u2019s rookie season next year features partnership from NFL Hall of Fame great and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown, whose company 81 Logistics Group will be the primary sponsor for Vandergriff\u2019s Top Fuel dragster in five races and will serve as an associate sponsor for the balance of the 24-contest schedule.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 81 Logistics Group is a national fleet fuel supply and logistics business. Based in Texas, University of Notre Dame graduate Brown\u2019s company continues his success beyond his football days; with this firm he leads an impressive team of client-focused professionals.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs we continue go build our program, it\u2019s great to have 81 Logistics Group join BVR on Jordan\u2019s dragster,\u201d said Bob Vandergriff. \u201cTim and I share the same mindset and I look forward to working with him and everyone at 81 Logistics Group next season.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Tim Brown attended his first NHRA drag race a few months ago and pronounced himself \u201cblown away by the experience.\u201d He said he is looking forward \u201cto working with Bob Vandergriff as we use this program as a focal point in our business development strategy. I can\u2019t wait to see our company in the Winner\u2019s Circle in 2019.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n BVR has had success with Blake Alexander during the 2018 season, earning a pair of Wally winner\u2019s trophies.
