NASCAR\u2019s Camping World Trucks held their 6<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> Annual Eldora Dirt Derby under the lights Wednesday night at Eldora Speedway<\/a>. The race was won in overtime by Chase Briscoe. Saturday afternoon the XFINITY Series went to New Hampshire Motor Speedway<\/a> for the Lakes Region 200, in which rookie Christopher Bell outlasted the field for his third win of the season. Sunday\u2019s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Foxwood Resort and Casino 301 was delayed for about four hours by rain after being bumped up an hour in an attempt to avoid the race. Surprise, surprise, Harvick won that race.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Enfinger and Briscoe Put on NASCAR Overtime Show at Eldora <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The annual race in Eldora is usually a crowd thriller and this race was no exception. There was bumping and banging throughout the pack, with everyone fighting for position. The race went to overtime after a late caution. ThorSport Racing<\/a> teammates Grant Enfinger<\/a> and Chase Briscoe<\/a> went into NASCAR overtime on the front row. They stayed door to door up until the last corner, when Enfinger started to lose the rear end, allowing Briscoe to just barely edge him out at the podium, for the second win of his career. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Christopher Bell Beats Another Cup Champion in XFINITY Race<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Christopher Bell<\/a> was the dominant car during the first stage of the XFINITY Lakes Region 200 at Loudon. Local boy Ryan Preece leveraged sponsorship monies into a seat in the Number 18 Joe Gibbs Racing<\/a> car for a few races; Saturday\u2019s race was one of them. Preece put on a show by being one of the only people who could make the bottom work. Bell and Cup regular Brad Keselowski battled throughout most of the race for the top dog position. For the second week in a row, Bell was able to nudge out a Cup champion and hold on for the win, his third of the season. Keselowski came in second and Preece came in third.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Rain Delayed Cup Race Sees More of the Same<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin Harvick<\/a> picked up his sixth win of the season Sunday at Loudon in the Foxwood Resort and Casino 301. Truex won the first stage of the race and Chase Elliot showed some speed for Chevy by winning the second stage. Although Chase was able to remain up in contention throughout the rest of the race, the usual suspects, who commentators are now calling \u201cThe Big Three\u201d took over. Harvick, Baby Busch and Truex swapped the lead for most of the final stage. When the checkers waved, Harvick was the winner, Kyle Busch was second and Aric Almirola surprised everyone with a third place finish. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s interesting to note how Harvick won. Busch was leading for the last few laps, but Harvick had the obviously faster car. In a move hearkening back to Busch\u2019s bump and run for the win against Kyle Larson at Chicagoland, Harvick moved Busch out of the groove and took the lead. After the race, Busch complained that someone used his own tactics against him for the pass. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
