NASCAR excitement was only found at Gateway Motorsports Park, with the Camping World Truckers putting on an excellent show Saturday night.

While 2018\u2019s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races have provided fans with some excitement, this year has basically been \u201cThe Kevin & Martin Show.\u201d Sunday\u2019s race in California\u2019s Wine Country was won by Truex, who co-dominated with Harvick. Saturday\u2019s show at Gateway was a great race won by Justin Haley.<\/p>\n

\"NASCAR\u2019s<\/p>\n

Justin Haley<\/a> scored his first win in 37 Camping World Truck Series starts this weekend at Gateway Motorsports Park<\/a>. The win puts Haley and his Number 24 GMS Racing<\/a> team into the playoffs.\u00a0 Grant Enfinger<\/a> won the first stage, while Christian Eckes<\/a> won the second. Todd Gilliland<\/a> finished the race in second and the old man Johnny Sauter<\/a> took third.<\/p>\n

California\u2019s Wine Country Delivers No Surprises or Excitement<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kyle Larson started on the pole in Sunday\u2019s Eaton 200 at Sonoma Raceway<\/a> and then faded quickly. A.J. Allmendinger drove an excellent first stage and came from fourth to first for the stage win. There were small battles back in the field for position, along with AJ\u2019s passes to the front, but otherwise the race was pretty calm.<\/p>\n

Denny Hamlin<\/a> used pit strategy and wise passing to go to the front during the second stage from his starting spot mid-pack to take the second stage win. After that, it was all Kevin and Martin. Late race pit strategy gave Truex<\/a> the win by one of the largest margins ever at Sonoma over second place Harvick<\/a>. Bowyer brought his Number 14 SHR<\/a> Ford in in third place. Sonoma usually doesn\u2019t deliver a very exciting race, but Sunday\u2019s race was even more boring than normal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
