Officials from the World Racing Group have laid down the law for one driver following the Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway. After tire samples were taken from several competitors\u2019 late models following the June 9th<\/sup> event, for testing, the tires from Dunn-Benson Motorsports No. 32p appeared to be altered and did not match or conform to the benchmarks provided by Hoosier Tire Company. This finding led to a large fine and suspension for both car owner Dunn-Benson Motorsports and its driver Bobby Pierce.<\/p>\n

Along with a hefty fine of over $13,000, Pierce and his DIRTCar team were also disqualified from the Dirt Late Model Dream, which lost this team and its driver $13,640 fourth place purse money. Dunn-Benson Motorsports will also be responsible for a $1,690 tire analysis fee.<\/p>\n

The driver who was once known as the \u201cSmooth Operator\u201d has also been fined 1,000 DIRTcar points and was suspended for 30 days from all DIRTcar sanctioned late model events, including the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series.<\/p>\n
