The Jr. Drag Racing League is a staple amongst young racers ages 5-17.<\/p>\n<p>The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League celebrated its 25th anniversary during the 2017 season and continues it&#8217;s impressive growth and participation from youth across many of NHRA\u2019s 120 member tracks throughout the United States and Canada. Competitors in the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League race cars called Jr. Dragsters, which are half-scale versions of Top Fuel dragsters. They go as fast as 85 mph and as quick as 7.90 seconds in the eighth-mile using a five-horsepower, single-cylinder engine, though younger age groups are restricted to slower times and speeds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League has played an important part to help ensure the future of drag racing, and the continued growth and interest of young racers in the league has been incredible,\u201d said Brad Gerber, NHRA vice president and chief development officer. \u201cSummit Racing Equipment\u2019s support for the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League has been a pivotal part of that success, and we are excited to see them continue in the role of title sponsor for the league.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With five decades of experience, Summit Racing Equipment is the worldwide leader in e-commerce, mail order and retailer of performance parts and accessories, offering a selection of parts from more than 1,500 manufacturers.
