Jordan Vandergriff and Krista Baldwin will team up as part of the Bob Vandergriff Driver Development program for the Top Alcohol Dragster class at the NGK Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals. Team owner Anthony Dicero will continue as crew chief on both cars with the aid of Top Fuel crew chief Ron Douglas of Bob Vandergriff Racing.<\/p>\n
Jordan Vandergriff, nephew of Top Fuel driver and team owner, Bob Vandergriff Jr., will be making the second national event appearance of his rookie year. With a successful debut in Gainesville (a round one win) behind him, Vandergriff looks to succeed in Charlotte.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have the first race out of the way,\u201d said 23-year-old Vandergriff, a SoCal native. \u201cGainesville was a great experience and I just ran my career best ET of a 5.27 in qualifying for the Division 1 race in Richmond last week. \u00a0I\u2019m feeling more comfortable and confident in the seat. With this quick momentum, I\u2019m anxious to see what will happen this weekend. I have to thank my uncle Bob (Vandergriff) for the chance to continue this journey in the driving seat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Krista Baldwin, granddaughter of Chris \u201cthe Greek\u201d Karamesines, plans to return to the seat of her McLeod Racing dragster. Baldwin has acted a mentor to Vandergriff as he trains in Anthony Dicero\u2019s A\/Fuel dragsters.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels like it has been forever since I\u2019ve hit the gas at the Winter Nationals in Pomona,\u201d said Baldwin, Creative Director of McLeod Racing. \u201cI\u2019ve been helping Jordan become comfortable in the car and have been teaching him the different duties of a driver. But now it\u2019s my turn to get back in the seat. This weekend will be action-packed with the two cars, but I\u2019m excited to line up against Jordan, hopefully in the finals on Sunday.
