Is it too early to talk about Indy Bench Racing Weekend (BRW) 2019?\u00a0 The Indy Bench Racing Weekend Team doesn\u2019t think so. For years, this group of racing history lovers met annually in Indianapolis. Thanks to some recent changes, BRW is planning a revival for next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are happy to announce that we have reached an agreement with the Indiana Racing Memorial Association (IRMA) to transfer the ownership of future BRW events to this dynamic organization,\u201d said BRW officials on March 13. \u201cWe will be working with IRMA to make Indy BRW 2019 a special event and we have already discussed some terrific ideas for next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

IRMA has already named Dave Bozell and Gene Ingram as Co-Event Coordinators and they have begun to build a team to support the 2019 event.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe much appreciate all the support from our existing participants who continue to value Indy Bench Racing Weekend,\u201d said BRW\u2019s Chuck Shuman. \u201cIt was truly an honor to have the opportunity to organize BRW and we think the depth and expertise within IRMA will give BRW the stability it needs to remain an annual \u2018must do\u2019 for so many of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shuman thanked the current BRW team for all their past efforts and recognized the efforts of Clare and Dolores Poremski, Marie Hall, Barb Hellyer, Donald Davidson, Bob Jenkins, Bob McConnell, Dave \u201cThe King\u201d Wilson, Barb Hollingsworth, Nena Ray, Bob Beisel, Don Kay and Johnny Parsons.<\/p>\n

Future communications from IRMA and the Indy Bench Racing Weekend Team will be posted to the IRMA Facebook page at Indiana Racing Memorial Association -IRMA and also on their website at Indianaracing.org.<\/p>\n
