For 17 years racers, drifters and gear heads have come to the Irwindale Dragstrip to enjoy the roar of the engines and the smell of burning rubber.<\/p>\n

From Feb. 1<\/span><\/span>, Tim Huddleston, an Agoura Hills-based racer and business owner, along with Bob Bruncati and Justice Brothers, will mark the start of a new era for the venue. These race enthusiasts will continue to produce Thursday<\/span><\/span> Night Thunder on the dragstrip and Weekly Racing Series events on the Half-Mile Speedway.<\/p>\n

“We are excited to keep the amazing events of the past and bring new exciting shows to the families and fans that have joined us over the years,” Tim Huddleston said. “Jim Cohan and 211 Entertainment were instrumental in this transition and I’m thankful they kept the track running the last five years.”<\/p>\n

Weekly Racing Series will take the green flag on March 10<\/span><\/span> with a full season schedule. The schedule is available at www.irwindalespeedway.com<\/a><\/strong>. The facility also remains available for studio and private rental. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Please join us Feb. 1<\/span><\/span> for Thursday<\/span><\/span> Night Thunder at 5:00pm<\/span><\/span> (Gates open at 4:00pm<\/span><\/span>). The first 500 attendees will receive a special promotional gift to celebrate a new beginning.<\/p>\n
