The E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series, presented by J&amp;A Service, will feature 12 races over the course of the coming season, along with a second visit to Texas during the year and a change to the qualifying procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The series will run at the Texas Motorplex, Oct. 4-7 during the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals in their 3,000 horsepower cars, including \u201967 Mustangs, \u201968 Firebirds and \u201969 Camaros, plus a variety of late model American muscle cars.<\/p>\n<p>Newly in 2018, the category will get four qualifying sessions and the first round of eliminations in their 16-car field taking place <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511117\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Sunday<\/span><\/span>. The teams will have two qualifying sessions <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511118\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Friday<\/span><\/span> and two <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511119\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Saturday<\/span><\/span> prior to race day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to become the title sponsor of the rapidly growing NHRA Pro Mod Series,\u201d said Rob Fisher, Vice President of Motorsports for E3 Spark Plugs. \u201cWe\u2019ve been involved with NHRA drag racing as a marketing partner for over ten years; Official Spark Plug and Ignition Products sponsor for five years; and now we\u2019ve added a series level sponsorship of a very exciting form of drag racing. In our mind it was the next logical step and gives us the opportunity to give back to the pinnacle of Sportsman racing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The season will come to life <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511120\"><span class=\"aQJ\">March 15-18<\/span><\/span>, at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla. at Gainesville Raceway. The next event will take place at the NHRA SpringNationals at Houston, <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511121\"><span class=\"aQJ\">April 20-22<\/span><\/span>, and then will race four-wide at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511122\"><span class=\"aQJ\">April 27-29<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties at Heartland Park Topeka takes place <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511123\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 18-20<\/span><\/span> prior to a stretch of three consecutive events.<\/p>\n<p>The action kicks off with the NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J., <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511124\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 7-10<\/span><\/span>. The NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals will follow during Father\u2019s Day weekend, <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511125\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 15-17<\/span><\/span>, at Bristol\u00a0Dragway in Bristol, Tenn. The busy month will conclude with the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511126\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 21-24<\/span><\/span>, at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports in Norwalk, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>The doorslammer cars are sure to be a draw for race fans during the world\u2019s biggest drag race the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511127\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Aug. 29-Sept. 3<\/span><\/span>. The series will race in the shadow of the Arch during the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals, at Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis, <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_769511128\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Sept. 21-23<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Following the visit to Dallas the series returns to zMAX Dragway for the NHRA Carolina Nationals, Oct. 12-14.\u00a0The champion will be crowned at the NHRA Toyota Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas on Oct. 25-28.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 2018 schedule for the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag
