Fou<\/span>r classes of teens and their guardians are now registered for the first ever Phoenix-area stop of the \u201cMopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge\u201d program, which helps teach teens safe driving skills. This iteration of the program is will run March 4-5 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Ariz. Though these classes are full, those interested can still sign up for the waitlist or receive information on the program at\u00a0http:\/\/mopar.com\/road-ready\/register<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Parents or guardians can participate alongside their teen children in the \u201cMopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge\u201d program. Over the three years this training program has run, it has helped over 3,000 teens and guardians learn safe and defensive driving techniques. Classes are free of charge to registered teens and their guardians, but a $99 refundable registration deposit is required to secure a spot.<\/p>\n

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Motorsports Museum and B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe) collaborate with \u201cMopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge;” these nationally recognized non-profit 501(c)3 organizations share similar missions of promoting the importance of safe and responsible driving.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dodge brand wants all drivers to experience that visceral feeling that makes them fall in love with driving, and that includes making sure they feel comfortable in all driving situations,\u201d said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands \u2013 Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA \u2013 North America. \u201cThe \u2018Mopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge\u2019 program gives new teen drivers the opportunity to learn important driving skills, gain valuable experience behind the wheel and fall in love with driving in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n

The program is available to teens between the ages of 15-19 with a learner\u2019s permit or driver\u2019s license and at least 30 hours of driving experience. Participants benefit from a proven curriculum and skilled instructors provided by the B.R.A.K.E.S. organization. A 3:1 student-to-instructor ration allows for quality time with each teen both in the classroom and during the hands-on training portions of the program.<\/div>\n

Each teen driver\u2019s participation in the training program includes a companion experience for a parent or adult guardian who also will actively take part. \u201cMopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge\u201d sessions provide a brief classroom review of core driving topics, including proper seat positioning, hand positioning and basic vehicle dynamics. Teens then receive advanced behind-the-wheel training through a variety of on-track course modules, such as accident avoidance, distraction, panic stop, wheel drop and wet skid pad.<\/div>\n

The \u201cMopar Road Ready Powered by Dodge\u201d program will continue its 2016-2017 slate of events with stops in New Jersey, on April 22-23; Metro Detroit on May 6-7; and Sarasota\/Bradenton in Florida on May 20-21.<\/div>\n
