The changing face of the NASCAR Truck Series is proving to be a personal playground for 18-year old \u2018SuperKid\u2019, William Byron who won the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the newly designed Kentucky Speedway on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The win gives Kyle Busch Motorsports the lead as the winningest team in NASCAR Camping World Truck series history resting now with their 51st<\/sup> victory surpassing Roush Fenway Racing who previously held the record at 50.<\/p>\n

Byron battled with Daniel Hemric and John Hunter Nemechek in the waning laps, but with those two battling for second it was all that Byron needed to stretch his lead just enough to win by .190 seconds over Nemechek.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so awesome to have Kyle and Samantha\u2019s support, Toyota\u2019s support and it\u2019s a dream to get our four win like this,\u201d said an ecstatic Byron.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s incredible to bring home this win breaking the record.<\/p>\n

“It was tough.\u00a0 I honestly felt like I had a right rear tire going down.\u00a0 With the new surface, it\u2019s hard to get a tire to last that long.\u00a0 I had quite the vibration the last three or four laps.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most of the race looked like an Oklahoma land rush with Trucks running high and low on the new pavement jostling for position with numerous leaders until the race finally settled out to those three drivers.<\/p>\n

Notable names that struggled throughout the night were Kyle Busch being taken out by Spencer Gallagher clipping his rear end sending him spinning into the turn two wall destroying a brand new KBM Toyota Tundra.<\/p>\n

Strong contender, Timothy Peters had a pit road communication miscue changing right side tires and leaving on the drop of his jack, but missing his second tank of fuel taking him back to the pits and was at the end of the line on the last restart ending up ninth.<\/p>\n

Pole-sitter, Daniel Suarez dominated the first part of the show leading the first 32 laps but was knocked out of the top 10 after being caught for speeding leaving pit road finishing 11th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The NASCAR Trucks will next be slinging dirt at the CarCash MidSummer Classic at Eldora Speedway on Wednesday night, July 13.<\/p>\n
