The Stock Car Road Race Challenge will bring stock cars back onto a road course at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Five different divisions will take to the 1.7-mile road course in full-race mode, with a sixth division testing the waters in a practice setting. This will be the first time stock cars have raced on the recently-renovated layout.<\/p>\n

The North East Street Stock Tour, North East Mini Stock Tour, New England Truck Series, and Thompson-legal Mini Stocks will hold events throughout the weekend, with drivers from The Racing School competing in a separate event in Spec Miatas. Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Late Models will hold a test session, as well.<\/p>\n

Fans will enjoy a different feel than an oval event, as the paddock area is open to all holding a ticket. This provides a chance for fans to meet some of the drivers face to face, and will allow fans to see a different side of the action, as entrants prepare for their events.<\/p>\n

The festivities begin on Friday, with registration beginning at 11AM, track-drives at noon, with practice beginning at 1:20PM. Friday\u2019s fan ticket is $15. Saturday is race day, with the paddock opening at 7AM, practice beginning at 8:30AM, qualifying at 10:30AM, pre-race ceremonies at1:20PM, and feature events scheduled to begin at 1:35PM.
