Indianapolis, IN. May 9, 2015 – Will Power commanded the second Angie\u2019s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis with the win after leading 65 of the 82 lap race. Fans and teams kept an eye to the sky as ominous clouds rolled over the volatile and humid Indiana afternoons. Storms bookended the race, but the track remained dry between the green and checkered flags. Graham Rahal finished second with 2000 Indianapolis 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya coming in third.<\/p>\n

Drama was present in turn one of lap one as multiple cars bottlenecked and spun. New Indy Car aero kits flew to pieces in all directions, but all the drivers would pull out of the incident and continue the race. Scott Dixon and Helio Castroneves were both knocked from the front-runners during the wreck, but they would climb their way back to finish in the top ten. This would be the only full track caution for the entire race. Aggressive driving was standard for the remainder of the race with multiple drivers checking one another and touching tires during several of the 192 passes.<\/p>\n

The Grand Prix is still in its infancy, but it has already become a part of the Month of May traditions for many fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is like a gateway drug for the Month of May,\u201d exclaimed fan, Chris Aulby. The feelings seemed to be universally held with fans. Fellow fan Tyler Brown told us, \u201cIt\u2019s the best thing Indy can have right now. I love the race!\u201d The Grand Prix is in no way as popular as the Indianapolis 500, but all fans agree that it accents the entire month and provides a different flavor of racing that is appreciated by all.<\/p>\n
