Joe Morrison is returning to the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series this weekend with more than a Funny Car\u2014he’s bringing a message that could help save lives. The Flemington, New Jersey, driver and his Right2Breathe Project are once again partnering with Cleveland Clinic, NDD Medical, BluZone Health, Kroger Health, and the Allergy & Asthma Network to offer free lung health screenings during the 2026 Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.<\/p>\n

Located on the midway next to the Kroger Health display, the “Put Your Lungs on the Dyno” program will provide race fans, competitors, and vendors with complimentary lung screenings and educational resources focused on conditions including COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, lung cancer, and Long COVID. “Now more than ever lung health has been in the news and the Right2Breathe mission has never been more important,” Morrison said. “Our goal is to help people get diagnosed earlier so they can live better and live longer.”<\/p>\n

Founded in honor of Morrison’s father, who battled severe COPD, the Right2Breathe Project has provided free lung screenings to thousands of NHRA fans since 2016. A team of respiratory therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pulmonologists will once again volunteer their time in Norwalk to answer questions and provide health resources to attendees.<\/p>\n

The initiative returns to the NHRA circuit after an earlier stop in Charlotte and is scheduled to continue at the prestigious U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis and several NHRA Countdown events later this season. While promoting lung health off the track, Morrison will also be competing behind the wheel of the Herzhauser-owned Funny Car with support from PennGrade1, Before & After Painting, and CarTimeDover.com. The Norwalk event marks his second appearance of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series after qualifying for the inaugural Potomac Nationals and facing No. 1 qualifier Jack Beckman in the opening round.<\/p>\n
