Professional motorcycle drag racer Dystany Spurlock is on her way to NASCAR\u2019s Cup Series, outlining a structured path that begins with late-model racing and leads to the ARCA Menards Series in 2026.<\/p>\n
Rather than making a one-off appearance, Spurlock shoots to grind it out, starting on paved ovals before advancing to ARCA competition pending approval from NASCAR\u2019s competition committee. Her development program begins at Hickory Motor Speedway, where she will gain seat time in late-model events before targeting the ARCA Menards Series East race at Hickory later this spring, with plans to progress to national ARCA events.<\/p>\n
Spurlock\u2019s ARCA efforts are being supported by MBM Motorsports, led by veteran team owner and former NASCAR driver Carl Long, whose organization brings decades of experience across NASCAR\u2019s national touring series.<\/p>\n
If she completes the progression, Spurlock would become the first Black woman in NASCAR\u2019s 77-year history to compete at any level. While the milestone would be historic, her focus remains on performance, development, and earning her place on track.<\/p>\n
Her journey is being documented by primary sponsor Foxxtecca through a behind-the-scenes project titled Driven by Dystany: The Road to NASCAR, which follows the preparation, evaluations, and challenges involved in pursuing a NASCAR license.<\/p>\n
Spurlock\u2019s move to stock cars builds on a trailblazing motorcycle drag racing career. She is the first woman to win the XDA Real Street class, holds multiple BMW S1000RR performance records, and became only the second Black woman to compete professionally in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle in 2025.
